Privacy Policy — VBE Employee App

Volpenhein Brothers Electric ("VBE," "we," "us," or "our") operates the VolpBros mobile application (the "App") as an internal tool for VBE employees. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information in connection with your use of the App.
1. Information We Collect
When you use the App, we may collect the following information:
- Account information: Your name, email address, and employee ID as provided by VBE
- Time and labor data: Timesheet entries, job numbers, hours worked, and related information you enter into the App
- Device information: Device token used to deliver push notifications to your device
- Usage data: Information about how you interact with the App
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected solely for internal business purposes, including:
- Authenticating your identity and providing access to the App
- Processing and routing timesheet submissions for approval
- Sending company announcements and reminders via push notification
- Maintaining records for payroll and job costing purposes
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties. Your information may be shared only in the following limited circumstances:
- Within VBE: Your timesheet submissions and work records are accessible to designated supervisors, foremen, and office/admin staff at VBE for approval and payroll processing purposes
- Service providers: We use Google Firebase (provided by Google LLC) to store data and deliver push notifications. Firebase is bound by Google's privacy policies and does not use your data for advertising or other purposes
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process
4. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. Access to the App requires authentication with a unique email address and password. Data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure.
5. Data Retention
Your information is retained for as long as you are an active employee of VBE and as required for business, legal, and payroll record-keeping purposes. Upon termination of employment, your App access will be deactivated.
6. Your Rights
As a VBE employee, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information stored in the App by contacting your supervisor or the VBE office directly.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is intended solely for use by VBE employees who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be communicated through the App or via company announcement. Continued use of the App following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
